My interest and passion for quality assurance was sparked while employed as Quality Manager of the Clinical Unit at one of Belgium's leading innovation companies. Repeatedly I experienced how a good, tailored process augments the effort and output from already bright, focused and dedicated team members. Off course, the opposite happened too and often procedures had to be adjusted or completely revised because they did not have the necessary positive impact on the business (anymore). This is especially true in a fast evolving organisation, typical to most technology innovators and startups.
This made me highly interested in Quality Management Systems as a continuously present tool to increase effectiveness while at the same time control both patient and business risk.
In my approach to Quality, I strongly believe a QMS needs to be part of daily operation instead of a proverbial monster lurking to delay projects or decrease overall job satisfaction of employees.
This is only possible through a continuous search for the right interpretation of standards and regulations. An interpretation that is tailored to your company's culture, respects the intent of the regulation and incorporates lessons learned from industry. Combine this with the right employee education in your QMS and you have the recipe for good practices.
My goal as a consultant is to help companies to achieve just that, the implementation of a QMS and regulatory compliance approach that benefits them today and for many years to come.
Besides my passion for quality systems, I have an Industrial Engineering degree in electronics/ICT (Master in Industrial Sciences), experience with both software and hardware development as well as people management. I believe this to be instrumental in my success to make your QMS and compliance approach both efficient and effective.
